Clear Glass Consulting was established by founder and CEO, Ian Cosnett, to share his wealth of success and experience with a wide range of growing businesses in todays challenging markets.
A seasoned go-to-market executive and board advisor with a track record of delivering exceptional growth and operating performance. He has operated as an independent advisor to many private equity fund managers and portfolios companies, working with CEO’s, CRO’s and Board members focusing across all aspects of Go To Market. Typically engaging with GTM maturity analysis across Sales, Partner, Marketing and Operations, and assessing the results to help improve top line growth whilst supporting profitability and EBITDA expectations.
Prior to Clear Glass Consulting, Ian ran a global sales organisation at Anaplan, a cloud-native enterprise SaaS company helping global enterprises orchestrate business performance. He joined Anaplan when it was its infancy, and enjoyed being an integral part of the journey to public offering. One of his successes involved creating a new international go-to-market organastion, that within 5.5 years, grew to delivers over $120m ARR, and housed over 1200 customers (60% of Anaplan’s customer base).
Across his 25 year career, Ian has enjoyed an enviable track record of driving GTM success across a breadth of markets. He developed a wealth of success and experience driving and executing strategy, GTM execution and, developing and growing partner organisations. His experience ranges from early-stage start-up through to public companies, whilst thriving on emerging categories. He possesses strong strategic and data analytical skills and a passion for recruiting and building strong leadership teams and winning cultures.
Our History
The culmination of 25 years success across the tech industry created new opportunities to contemplate how best to use and pass on the experience of his success to more organisations that were on similar journeys. What experience had shown (and proved) over the years, is that the GTM in all organisation may differ, but the basis and play book of how to execute is actually the same (based on scientific method, maths and logic).
Whilst considering a CRO role for a smaller series B business, the realisation landed that you didn’t need an experienced and expensive full time CRO to actually create and execute the GTM aligned to their long range plan. Instead, you could spend 1 day per week, supporting and coaching a less experienced CRO and executive team, helping define the plans, passing on skills and support to scale a greater outcome, faster, at a much reduced cost. Clear Glass Consulting was born!
Private Equity
As the success grew, we started working to support leadership and portfolio investors in private equity firms, so they could realise their portfolio companies true revenue potential as well as supporting the due-diligence process at the pre-investment phase, to understand how attainable their revenue growth predictions were, but with a strong emphasis looking at the “How”.
